Aftermarket parts can sometimes deviate from specs.
Sometimes there may be more options than what is listed in these notes. (but hopefully will cover everything).
The purpose here is to make it easier to source; whether that be a dimension for a nut of bolt helping or with the aftermarket numbers making it easier, a quick search of these numbers normally finds them. Allways worth checking all the options as there can be considerable price differences

Wishbones
Deserves its own section. A few different types here, from what I’ve worked out over the years + catalogue notes is below.
They all look the bloody same however the differences are to do with the ball joint pin size and the angle of the ball joint mainly. If the angle is wrong can affect steering feel, tyre wear etc.
Just to make it more confusing, some Ford references in aftermarket are the same part & then sometimes not depending on the manufacture.
The whole 2 or 3 bolt situation is further confusing as in after market it depends on manufacture again.
If you had a genuine one of each then you could compare I suppose, but in reality can’t see that happening!
Have listed QH & first line references as they are generally pretty solid in the cross referencing world.
Have not been able to find any other technical information on this other than from parts lookups / experience – if you have anything, feel free to pass it on.

Front Springs / Shock Absorbers
Main difference here is that early ones have ‘thinner’ shock absorbers where it goes into the wheel bearing hub / carrier. You can use the early ones on later ones if you make up some form of shim.
Some models don’t have an anti roll bar and therefore have the shocks have no bracket for the antiroll bar to attach.
