Maintenance / Diagnosis
General Information
All routine maintenance work for Fiesta Turbo vehicles, should be carried out in line with the FORDS ervice Plan booklet for passenger cars.
Diagnosis
Diagnosis consits of the following check and test procedures:
o Preliminary checks
o Self-test procedures
o Fuel, emission component and engine checks
o Breakout box checks
NOTE – The diagnostic procedure is greatly assisted by the self-test capability of the EEC IV module.
Nevertheless, it is important that all service technicians follow the systematic approach provided in the vehicle system test manual and use the recommended test equipment as specified.
Test and Check Procedures
The test and check procedures and application of the test and diagnoctic equipment are described at the corresponding Section 29 in the Vehicle System Test Manual (VSTMo) n Fiesta 1.6 Turbo engine.
The test and diagnostic equipment and the defect codes for the self-test procedures are listed at the corresponding Section 29 in the Vehicle System Test Manual (VSTM) on Fiesta 1.6 Turbo engine.
