Complaint
Squeaking noise from belt drive when steering in end stop area
Cause
Reduced belt tension since introduction of direct starting / ECO Stop-Start function CODE (B03).
Remedy
Valid for all vehicles:
Install specially coated poly-V belts (Silent Grip belts)
Also valid for vehicles with manual transmission:
Install belt tensioner with higher pretension
