HiSense HV Dishwasher F54 Error / Leak + Fix (HV693C60UK)

If you have a HV Series dishwasher or probably any Hisense dishwasher with the fault code F54, I bring help.

Ours is a HiSense HV693C60UK dishwasher to be specific and never had an issue until now. Turns out it was an incredibly easy fix, all be it a right ball ache to find out exactly what was causing it for us.

Fault code F54 means that water has entered the lower tray / housing and pushed the float up to set off the water sensor. When this happens the pump automatically runs to clear any water from inside the washer. You just need to work out why.

Ive seen a lot of talk about doing a ‘gearbox reset’ or ‘battery reset’, normally amongst conversation regarding gearbox problems. Typically, with a glow plug fault you will be getting a glow plug warning light coming on, sometimes flashing and perhaps an engine management light. In Rimgaudas case, no codes or dash warnings, just some white smoke in the mornings.
